Oliver Tuthill has been writing and recording songs for several decades. He was
the songwriter for the soul hit, Light of Day, in the Midwest, performed by Cecil
Washington. He also wrote the European soul hit, I Don’t Like to Lose, for Cecil
Washington, an acclaimed song. Additionally, Tuthill wrote songs for soul singer
Jesse Cody, which were released on Athon records in the late 60s.
Tuthill was drawn to rap and hip-hop in the 1980s, and by the 2000’s, he was
writing and producing songs for Grammy-nominated rapper and native music
award-winner, Shadowyze. All the songs were coproduced with Marcus Evil G
Allen from Atlanta who has produced for Ludacris.
Tuthill has been scoring feature films and documentaries for 25 years and was a
voting member of the Recording Academy for five years. He has won multiple
Silver Telly Awards and was nominated twice for Native American Music Awards
in 2011.
As creative director for Branded Music Alliance, he is now overseeing his primary
artist, Fraction Man, while specializing in a hybrid/rap/pop sound for celebrity
athletes.
